What exactly is HeartCode ACLS?
HeartCode ACLS is a blended learning option offered by the American Heart Association. This program takes the place of a 16 hour ACLS Provider course and results in the same training and certification as the instructor led program. Providers are required to complete both the online module and a hands-on skill session in an American Heart Association Training Site in order to receive certification as an American Heart Association ACLS Provider.
How long does it take to complete the online module?
Most healthcare providers are able to complete the online module in approximately 8 hours. Providers may begin, pause, and resume their online learning at anytime.
Where does the hands-on skill session take place?
Our Connecticut training sites are located conveniently throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut. You may complete your skills session in Ridgefield or Fairfield CT.
What takes place during the hands-on skill session?
The hands-on skill session allows providers to practice, demonstrate, and test on the hands-on skills of Advanced Cardiac Life Support. After a brief review with an American Heart Association instructor, providers are tested on Adult High Quality CPR and Adult Airway Management.
How long does it take to complete the hands-on skill session?
Providers should anticipate spending between 45-90 minutes in our Training Site to complete the hands-on skills.
When will I receive my ACLS Provider Certification?
Certifications are processed immediately at the conclusion of the hands-on skill session. Providers receive their ACLS Provider eCard the same day as their hands-on skill session.
